Our firm has undertaken the representation of the former holders of CoCoCos issued by the Bank of Cyprus –which today have already been converted into common shares– in order to compensate for the damage these holders suffered by the misleading and illegal promotion of said product even to ordinary consumers and time account holders in Greece by the Bank, violating thus the protective provisions of the European and Greek legislation.

In 2003-2007 Alpha Bank issued through its subsidiary company Alpha Jersey (with registered office in the island/States of Jersey),perpetual bonds amounting to more than 1 billion euro, which it then distributed horizontally through its branches to the total of the consumers/prospective investors, regardless of whether the latter were aware of what they were buying or not.

Since September 2009 and the collapse of the ASPIS Group, our firm has undertaken the cases of thousands of ASPIS CAPITAL bonds holders and to this day, we have already succeeded in obtaining positive court orders pursuant to which, as an injunction, a prenotation of mortgage was entered over the real estate of Psomiadis family and of several companies of the same family's interests.

It is a fact, that during the course of a franchise network a series of legal matters arise, which may concern its members. Often these have to do with failures within the franchise network itself due to the Franchisor's wrong choices, for example the improper development or strategic planning of the franchise system, wrong choice of locations, lack of know-how and infrastructure etc.

Our firm has undertaken the judicial proceedings for the bond holders of ASPIS FINANCE PLC, who upon the revocation of T-Bank's operation license (former Aspis Bank) -guarantor of their bonds and sole shareholder of the issuing corporation Aspis Finance PLC- were faced with the nullification of their bonds' value.

Class Actions for Loans in CHF

In the 2006-2009 period when the EUR/CHF exchange rate was very favourable (around 1.60) banks deliberately directed tens of thousands of Greek borrowers to take out mortgage loans in CHF or to convert existing EUR-denominated loans into CHF. The Bank’s argument was that converting the loan currency would prove particularly favourable for the borrower, ensuring a lower interest rate (LIBOR) and so lower monthly instalments.
